Harmonized UX Known Issues

Thank you for your interest in beta testing the newest Videxio products, we are pleased to announce as of Thursday, March 8th Videxio has begun public beta of My Meeting Video 2.0 for the web and desktop.

My Meeting Video 2.0 is a major upgrade and harmonization effort of both web and desktop app.

Enhancements for web include:

  • You can now call someone’s video address straight from the browser. (Within or outside your company.)
  • Receive incoming calls straight from your browser.
  • Find contacts and rooms easier with separate tabs.
  • Recent calls

Enhancements for desktop include:

  • Control participants from inside the app. Call, Mute, Disconnect or Invite participants.
  • Audio + Presentation only is now supported.
  • Turn your camera or microphone off before joining a call.
  • Improved Window handling for switching to different apps during a call.

Changes and notes

  • Chrome and Firefox are our recommended browsers.
  • Optimization of the mobile web experience is still in progress.
    • We recommend mobile users connect using our Mobile Applications for the richest experience.
  • Plugins are preferred for Safari, Edge, and Internet Explorer.
  • White labeling and branding is not supported during the beta, in the production release white labeling and branding will be supported.

Known Issues and Limitations:

  • Calling to an incorrect off-net address can create a call with a black screen. (#350)
  • The recent calls list does not update immediately. (#706)
  • Searching in Internet Explorer may not work. (#989)
  • Ricoh IWB users are unable to restore My Meeting Video from PIP mode. (#1022)
  • Searching for a URI in the local contacts list will not show as a contact. (#1112)
  • Connecting via WebRTC in Safari is much slower to connect than other browsers. (#1128)
  • Virtual Camera Drivers for devices and applications such as Panacast, ManyCam, or Wirecast may not show properly on Desktop MMV. (#1234)
  • Longer display names may not appear in the participants list. (#1375)
  • Ending a call with the participants list open can cause a blank side menu. (#1429)
